Meet Gabriel Ghavami
I’m Gabriel —founder, CEO, father, and someone who believes that building something meaningful is always personal. Born in Tehran, grew up in Gothenburg, and later spent a few important years in New York and Hawaii—where I studied marketing and finance. Years that, early on, gave me a global perspective that keeps me curious, grounded, and focused, even when things move fast. Made me a person driven by purpose over noise.
Based in Gothenburg, but I spend a lot of time in Stockholm and Copenhagen. As a board member of Collaboration Art, I also get to work alongside our sister companies—and that gives me a broader view into the digital commerce journeys happening across industries.
Building, not following
GO MO, for me, was never about entering the race. It was about changing how the game is played. From the start, I wanted to build a company that didn’t just fit in—but one that set the bar. Focused, consistent, and sharp. Not louder. Just better.

That belief has become my compass. In the early days of my career, I was driven by status—like many businessmen are. But that shifted some years ago.
Today, it’s about doing things right, and doing them well. I’m wired to push, question, and raise the bar—not for the spotlight, but because excellence matters. And yeah, that kind of drive comes with a cost. The hours are long, the pressure’s real. But I’ve learned to welcome it. Because real leadership means showing up fully—even when it’s hard, especially when it’s hard.
A few years ago, I sold the company—not to step away, but to level up. We became part of Investment AB Spiltan’s Collaboration Art. It wasn’t a classic “Exit”—more like a Reset. A chance to reposition and scale the business in a smarter, stronger way. That shift opened up a new chapter. One that’s all about structure, direction, and unlocking the real potential of the group. That’s the work I’m doing now.
Beyond the job and Personal
I didn’t become an entrepreneur for balance—I did it for freedom. The kind where you work your ass off, but on your own terms. And if you do it right—together with your team—you can change the direction of your family for generations. I believe in life balance. Always have. But the whole “work-life balance” mantra? Never really bought into that—at least not for founders.
When I’m not working, I recharge through family (I’m Persian, so yeah—there’s a lot of family), padel, great food, and the kind of conversation that I can reflect over long after it ends. My wife—overly understanding of course (me being the always-on type and all)—and my son keep me on my toes, and remind me what really matters.
What keeps me going?
It’s pretty straightforward: I work hard to lead in a way that helps people grow, to be part of something bigger than myself, and to do things properly—not just in business, but in how we treat each other.
That’s the life I’ve chosen—keep learning, keep building, keep moving. As a CEO, yes—but also as a husband, a dad, and just a person trying to get better. For the people close to me, for the society we’re part of, and for (all) the things we actually have the power to change.
